Home Learning at TFS
We have been really impressed with how the pupils have started engaged with home learning and we appreciate the wonderful job that you, as parents and carers, have done in supporting your children with this, particularly when many of you are working from home, supporting vulnerable relatives, or caring for younger children.
We know that some pupils do find it very difficult to work from home, so please get in contact with us if we can support you in any way. Our teaching, pastoral and admin teams are always available and willing to help.
As outlined in our previous communications, we have refined our Home Learning approach to enhance the learning and engagement of our pupils. This will include live Morning Meeting sessions and Live Subject Check-ins. We are always looking for new ways to support our pupils, so please do pass on any feedback that you feel may be useful.
As always, in this ever-changing situation, we will keep you updated with regards to any further information, or changes from the government. Please click on the link below for more information:
Live Subject Support
We are offering weekly drop-in sessions via Google Meet with subject teachers. These sessions will be an opportunity to ask questions and request further help on specific tasks or lessons for the subject. These can be accessed in the same way as the Daily Morning Meetings as outlined in the ‘How To’ Appendix in the links below. Codes and instructions for attending these meetings will be posted to the Google Classroom. Most meetings will be a drop-in opportunity to ask for help and scholars can join the meeting at any time during the allotted session time. Some sessions will require attendance by all pupils and this information will be shared by the subject teacher as appropriate.
TFS has arranged for children to access to online learning materials via Google Classroom.
